Continuing with our focus on energy efficient features that buyers love, this week our focus is on appliances.

Wanting energy-efficient appliances when buying a new home is not new, but if homes aren’t 100% upgraded to energy-efficient appliances, buyers today are specifically looking at the washer and dryer and the refrigerator, because these appliances take the most power to run. Buyers with lower budgets may only look at the energy efficiency of one or two appliances, whereas those with higher budgets are looking to make sure all appliances are energy efficient. Replacing these appliances can be costly, and although it will save money in the long run, many are hesitant to purchase them after the sale so buying a home already featuring these energy-efficient appliances is something buyers want.
